Every child conceived is a wonderful blessing. Every child born is an even greater blessing! Conner, Cody and Blake each have their own birth story to share. The one thing they have in common is they were all born premature.
The March of Dimes is an awesome organization that is “dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality” — March of Dimes. This year I am volunteering my time for the March of Dimes March for Babies and am so honored to photograph these beautiful kids who will be the ambassadors for the Hilo March for Babies.
Meet twin sisters Cody and Blake — growing up together but still very much her own personality.
Little Conner is a friend of Cody & Blake. At two-years-old, the world around him is simply facinating!
I love the sweet innocence of young children…
Please come down on Sunday, March 21st at 7 a.m. to the Wailoa State Park and help support the March for Babies. I will be there with camera in-hand and walking. See you there! :-)
As the new year begins, I set aside all that I have accomplished from 2009 and think of all the possibilities for 2010. It is exciting to think of all the things I will be able to turn into reality. Of course, the “doing” part is always the challenge, but that’s where the fun usually lies. :)
On the eve of January 1, 2010, I celebrated this special occasion with my husband and a bunch of our friends who are almost like our second family. It was one of the more joyous celebrations I have had in the past few years living in Hilo with so much good home-cooked food, lots of fireworks, and great company. One of my goals this year is to celebrate the start of every day with this same feeling of celebration as I had for starting the new year. A more positive look into our daily lives may bring the hope of more happiness to one’s self.
The weather in Hilo is never predictable. Luckily, Sherrie was kind enough to invite me into the beautiful home of her parents on a rainy Hilo morning for this sweet family session.
Before I even stepped into their home, TJ greeted me with so much zest and immediately took over the show.
I just love Mika’s little red car! I think she does too.
It was an honor to be a part of these memorable moments with all of you. I could definitely feel the love you all have for one another. Thank you Sherrie, Allan, Irma, and Mika so much for sharing your family with me. <3
